HTC is all set to launch a brand new squeezable cell phone. According to reports, this squeezable cell phone will be released next month on May 16 in an event and will have a sensor’s in the phone’s frame technology called “Edge Sense”.
This device reportedly will have a feature that will allow the users to touch the edges or sides of the gadget in order to carry out a task but won’t actually bend. Well, with this new technology or feature it would not be wrong to say that cell phone controls will no longer be limited to its screen.
Recently, HTC tweeted a video of how this newly squeezing device will work which suggests that the upcoming gadget will feature some sort of pressure sensitive interface along the sides that the users will be able to control by squeezing or maybe swiping. The event invite has a tagline “Squeeze for the brilliant U” and according to reports, the name of device is HTC U which will be unveiled as mentioned above on May 16.
HTC has really struggled hard in the cell phone market in yesteryears as it was difficult for the company to find its way amid strong competitors like Apple, Samsung etc. But the company still continues to work hard and has tried to move into new zones such as virtual reality with the HTC Vive Headsets.
As for now, let’s expect if the company sheds more light on the squeeze feature before the launch date and will definitely know more when the smart gadget is unveiled on May 16. Stay connected for further updates.
