Pakistan’s Official Moon Sighting Website launched [Explained]
Published On:In a press conference, which was held in Karachi, The Federal Minister of Science & Technology – Mr. Fawad Chaudhary declared that Pakistan’s very first Official Moon Sighting Website will be ready by 15th Ramadan. Hence, the website Pak Moon Sighting Website has been launched finally.
On visiting the link of Pakistan Moon Sighting Website, you would be able to see four (04) options:
1. Monthly Reports:
In this section, updated Moon Sighting reports are uploaded on-a-monthly-basis. The uploaded reports contain details including pictures / videos.
2. Hijri Calendar:
Besides Monthly Moon Sighting Reports, you will also be able to find Five (05) years Hijri Calendar, which shows the start of Islamic Months including Day/Year details.
3. Islamic Events:
The best part about this Website is, it shows all Upcoming Special Islamic Events for instance; Ramadan Kareem, Eid-Al-Fitr, Eid-Al-Adha or other similar events will be displayed with dates.
4. Visibility Maps:
These maps show the visibility after local sunset at all points such as latitude or longitude for a specific date / day.
According to Pak Moon Sighting Website, Eid-Al-Fitr will be observed in the first week of June on 5th June 2019 (Wednesday) whereas, Eid-Al-Adha will be observed on 12th August 2019. Fawad Chaudhary has also declared that the introduction of this website will definitely not affect the jobs of religious clerics.
