Telegram App Update finally adds Encrypted Voice Calling Option

The most reliable and secure
messaging app – Telegram has finally introduced an impressive feature
for its users. Telegram App Update, encrypted voice calling option has
been added recently. For now, this option is only available in Western
Europe but the company has announced to launch the voice calling option
in other countries soon within a few days.

According to the Company:

“Over the past few months, we’ve worked hard to make sure
Telegram calls are the best in terms of quality, speed, and security.
The wait is over: today we’re rolling out Voice Calls in Western Europe”

The newly introduced voice call
feature in Telegram App is supposed to provide end-to-end encrypted
audio messages and just to ensure that the calls cannot be intercepted,
it uses the Diffie-Hellman key exchange. But that’s not all as it gives
you the option to make sure if your call is safe by simply making four
emojis as your key – yes your chat should be encrypted after comparing
the keys from both sides / parties.

The Company said:

“To make sure your call is 100% secure, you and your recipient
just need to compare four emoji over the phone. No lengthy codes or
complicated pictures!”

Moreover, the best part is, that you
can now control who can and cannot give you a call using Telegram. The
company also claims that the app will use Artificial Intelligence
(machine learning & neural network) just to make the future calls
more improved and enhanced in audio standard and to optimise the quality
of call on an ongoing basis.
The updated 3.18 version of the app has
another feature in its update which is not related to voice call.
Reportedly, the app now allows you to select the degree of compression
in a video that you want to send to someone before it will be released
for the recipient.
